It is fun to play dress-up every once in a while. As kids, we can be princesses or soldiers. Imagination is the key.
For many city girls, being a cowgirl is something often dreamed of. A real cowgirl is someone who knows how to ride horses, works on a ranch, and handles cattle. But with the right clothes and attitude, anybody can be a cowgirl. All you need is to be adventurous, spontaneous, and fun-loving!
How does one become a cowgirl?
Dress the Part
The first thing you need is a nice straw cowboy hat. A.A. Callister says that cowboy hats not only protect you from the sun, but are also a great fashion statement. You also need a good pair of pants or a skirt coupled with good boots. Plaid blouses or dresses would look nice on you too. Be functional yet stylish.
As a cowgirl, you should not be afraid to get down and dirty. You should be brave enough to handle any situation.
Love for the Outdoors
It is of course important for a cowgirl to love the outdoors. Most cowgirl involve themselves with the outdoors, where they would ride on horse-back and chase after cattle. She has to be up for anything.
Horse-back Riding Skills
All cowgirls must be able ride horses. Horses are cowgirls loyal sidekicks and can go with her on any adventure.
These are important skills to have if you want to be a cowgirl. There are few things that exemplify the Wild West more than using ropes to capture cattle.
Of course, cowgirls nowadays aren’t as common as they used to be. Still, that does not mean you cannot dream to be one yourself. You only live once, after all.
